A Few Key Works
When my song “From You I Learned” won first prize in the ASCAP/Lilith Fair Songwriting Contest, I moved to New York City and shortly after earned a coveted spot in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop as a lyricist. Ever since, my lyrics have been performed across the country, most notably on Broadway in the original musical It Shoulda Been You, for which I wrote the lyrics to Barbara Anselmi's music for the song "Perfect." Hear it performed live in Shubert Alley in the video below.

'Go On' Selected As Theme Song for The Grief Dialogues
As much as talking about death is uncomfortable for many, grief affects everyone at some point or another. I wrote the song "Go On" to help a friend heal from the loss of her mother. In 2016, "Go On" was chosen as the theme song for The Grief Dialogues, a theatrical gathering of voices that offers a new conversation about dying, death and grief. I'm honored to also be serving on the show's Advisory Council. The piece premiered in Seattle in 2017, and has been produced across the country ever since. Visit GriefDialogues.com for more information and upcoming performances.
Canadian Songstress Amy Sky Releases 'Go On' on Alive & Awake
In 2012, Canadian powerhouse singer-songwriter Amy Sky heard the demo for my song "Go On" and immediately contacted me to include it on her album of healing and recovery, Alive & Awake. See what she has to say about the song in the video below. To hear her version of the song, visit my SoundCloud.
Crowdfunding My Film & TV Demo
In 2011, thanks to generous friends, family and connections across social media, and the newly acquired crowdfunding site RocketHub, I successfully pressed my demo of songs for film & TV.
Getting my songs placed on the big or small screen would be a dream come true. I love a great story, and my lyrics explore universal themes that enhance scenes and make the viewer feel even more emotion in response to what’s happening onscreen.
My campaign was titled, “Send a Hamilton to Harrison,” and I asked for $10 donations in exchange for a copy of my demo. For a laugh, watch the campaign video below!
